No building tonight, but cheese platter and bottle of port to celebrate!
Still brainstorming the anti Jolt technology. After mentioning the trimmable
blade hight what did Nick do? File down Jolts wedges to spatula blades!
So, just out of curiosity without any hidden agendas Is TI magnetic?

No such luck! Although steel is... and cobra is pretty much solid steel...
What you need is some way for the flipper to fire as soon as a bot is up on it... i was in jaycar the other day and they sell kits that could easily activate a relay to fire the ram... not sure how that'd fit in with your all-mechanical rc system! _________________ ( •_•)
I have never seen a automatic firing system that works better than a practiced person at the controls, automatic is for suckers!

Let's not forget that Jeff is a master driver; I seldom see him mis-fire the flipper. If El Brave has a good turn of speed, the competition will be most interesting next year! _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Thanks Nick but I`m not so sure about the Master Driver,, more that El B is very easy to steer,,, Nah, Beware! Master Driver at Large!
I`m not keen on auto weapons Angus, It lacks the satisfaction of manual attacks when I bite on my bottom lip and growl FIRE!
The magnet idea was about lifting jolts hinged wedges somehow to get under them. Perhaps I can ironise the molecules of the leading edge with my sonic screwdriver But from experience the best strategy for El b vs Jolt is Run Away, Run Away!

Wait for Nick to drive into the wall... He'll stop the weapon not to stall it, you bum rush him and flip him over
Problem with that stratergy Aaron noted last event is Nick is a slightly better driver now... Just look at some of the video's!
That is unless you can pull off the patented charging bull move _________________ ( •_•)
charging bull move worked well* for Stealth against Jolt
*ok so there's a large section of armour missing that's remarkably similar in sice to Jolt's weapon teeth, and there's a rather large bend in the frame at the back _________________ The Engine Whisperer

So my strategy is just to hold the centre of the arena and wait for the flippers to come to me? Got no problems with that!
Next time, I might have another driving aid on Jolt; a front wheel to replace the roller ball, which may help Jolt drive in a straight line. I'm also thinking about taking the front wedge off for some matches and bolting a steel weight on the back corner to even out the weight balance. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Buying fans
In Woolies at the mo, they`ve got 48cm pedestal fans for $29.
I was thinking about grabbing two of them for our control room.
Any objections or other suggestions?
Wev`e got $510 of play money and if last Sat. was an indication of what summer will be like this year,,,

The fans sound more like essentials than luxury items - I would definitely get them! Don't know about a sofa though - would it fit? W should also get the lights fixed up, with protectors as we discussed a month or two ago. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
