Thats another thing I haven't worked out yet Aaron is where to put some duct tape, if you could help me with that it would be appreciated .
All four corners are adjustable. When I post a cad of the adjuster it will be clear...when I get some time and work out how to do threads...you think it would be easy but.... _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Your idea of the flanges would be just as good, but my idea may be lighter and allows for greater height adjustment more easily...I might try It thou one day, thanx for the tips keep em coming... _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. For threads I'd just use the cosmetic thread tool, but I can't remember how its done in SolidWorks. The cosmetic thread tool in Inventor will give you a good repesentation in the models without the 3Dness which can mess up slow computers. And real 3D threads on models don't convert well into 2D drawings. One of our customers likes to draw them but when it prints out on a peice of paper the threaded section is just a black rectangle on the paper.
As for the robot, it looks like its designed too well. Looks like another robot I'm going to lose to. I'd hate to see the robot you wanted to build.

Also worked out the thread thing in Solidworks, it only seems to make a surface image of a thread not cut the thread...which looks gay! _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

If anyone has any smart ideas on how to seal this pvc tube WITHOUT using the end caps on the right, it would be appreciated. I'm trying to reduce the buffers OD. Cheers.
get smaller end caps that will fit inside those pipes?
dont know if such a thing exists though. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

I think they're called bungs, but don't know how reliable anything that fits inside would be, is there going to be pressure trying to push it out? _________________ ( •_•)

I've never done any pressure work over 60psi but how about this?
Glue(?) in wooden bungs and secure with screws going though
the plastic and into the wood. Or even use thin long bolts
that pass right through and penetrate the plastic on both sides.
Admittedly, you will lose some volume capacity with this idea.
Be this idea good or bad experts, I would like you opinions on
my idea even if its no good to assassin. _________________ "The future is not set. There is no fate but what WE make."

I think you need to make a thread on the inside of the cylinder and screw some kind of cap on, with glue as well.
If you going to make a similar tank/buffer, use end caps. I'm just very pressed for space and might have to use a smaller tube. _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
