Movie Files

This is Mitchell and not Chris ok, kthx :V

Alright, here is the deal. Whoever here has heard of "Dance Dance Revolution" I play it. Very Happy
I've been wanting to take videos of my runs for a long time (since it's on the computer) but all the movie programs I can find (including fraps etc) either lag the computer to heck or can't keep up with the game's frame rate.

So first question is, can any of you think of a way around this or recomend a program?

Next, I tried using a digital camera with movie capture. This worked PERFECTLY until we got it on the computer. .MOVs are large and free compression tools for movies seam to be inexistant. Plus I don't know if this is Quicktime's fault but the sound is echo'd and offsync (but Quicktime has tons of problems on my comp as is)

Any suggestions? Confused

My digital camera also only does .mov . I import the file into Ulead video studio (it came free already installed on the computer) and then can edit it, and export it out as a windows media file. Seems to work ok for me. Smile

try getting windows media encoder
stick the camera into the computer
start wmenc and get *that* to do the recording for you it might be enough for it to encode it too, otherwise tell it to do it in ultra low compression AVI or some such then edit it with say virtual dub, encode it with XviD and your done.

Hey Mitch,

Download RAD Tools (Bink & Smacker)

http://www.radgametools.com/down/Bink/RADTools.exe

I use it for all my conversions of crappy .MOV files Cool
