True, the last event was pretty intense; I would have enjoyed much more if the Mag motor had not died. This time around, Jolt is lower on the ground and has a fresher Mag - watch out wedges! Razz

Lucky I was browsing the forum late! I will bring along all the spare cells I have and we can work something out. The cells are not charged, so we will need to leave them on charge before replacing the dead cells in the pack. I already packed my big soldering iron Smile Bring some drink bottles to cover the packs; I will bring the heat gun.

BTW: how are you testing for the dead cells?

hey all

been going non stop, only got about 3 hours sleep and still wiring the thing, gotta do a few more wires and it "should work" then gotta tinker with the radio a little

i tested for dead cells using multimetre on the idividual cells and the dead one read 0.002 or whatever and when replaced the pack worked instantly

back tp the garage for me, will see u all very soon with hopefully a working machine

fun day, got a few fights in.

plan g is a bit of a beast with the new drum going. dished out some pain on roadkill and orbits getting pretty good. whacked into cobra and the progressively crappy switch lost one of the steel tabs like 3 times the whole day lol.

jolt ripping off roadkills lid was also pretty class.

time for a rebuild for cobra me thinks. needs to be harder and faster Cool

well today went well, was a bit of a random setup and such but went good, after working non stop all past two weeks and upto 3 AM last night and was up at 5:30 am this morning wiring the robot up the robot worked very nicely, theres the usual kinks to fix and a bent panel around the wheel to fix thanks to jol but in three way with jolt and cobra i held my own and this new design cna now get cobra as i defeated him twice, getting in a few near flips but just alto of panel pounding and gouging

Everything went descent, spectrum worked perfectly, dodgy batt packs held together, ev setup worked well, just need to get to work fiing lots of small things like weopon bolts and small items

Plan G was very impressive, unfortunately drawing two wedges it put a good pounding when it could grab on cobra though and is definitely one to look out for

cobra worked well minus the switch failing repeatedly in it

jolt was fierce all day as always and against roadkill was ne of the best matches ive ever seen, so many massive collisions and across arena throwings finished the match with Jolt grabbing ad launching roadkills lid across the arena into the lexan screen at a savage speed right at akes head :p

all round a fun day by all, orbit worked nicely now its just upgrades and what not

Heh yeah wasn't bad. Gotta work out a combat worthy switch methinks, me and glen both had terrible reliability problems the whole day. About 5 minutes after I fixed roadkill, I fought jolt! Laughing SUure... the top got torn off... but it was still running!!! Cool He also managed to pull off the UHMW cracking again! Laughing
The bastard child plan G did pretty well too, till its ibc went roasty...
Orbit is a scary beast now, fast and light footed but packed a mean punch smacking cobra around the arena... eek.
Now.. where are them videos? Razz
