Does Brett need any help with fight tables?
Anyone want to go halves in a tank of CO2? The small BOC tanks are good for 2 or 3 robots.

this far ahead we can probbly book a hotel togther so it wont matter about the car.
if we get a van with a tow hitch we have a trailer, but not an enclosed one. (ie rain = bad)
perhaps we can get one of those too for all the bots and gear?
we will probbly both be there with something, hopefully something that dosent suck too hard. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

I probably won't be able to go. My dad is staying in Vietnam until Jan 16, my mum can't drive long-distance to sidetracked and taxi will cost a lot of money to go from where I am.
Anyone know the date for the next sidetracked event?
edit: It is possible I have a slim chance of going by train. _________________ It seemed like a good idea on paper...

I was sort of thinking that you Guys would have the team Australia Lightweight ready for some testing by then.

I would like to, but I'm having a serious rethink on using the Dewalt 36V battery packs in the lightweight - the US guys mentioned they had built-in current limiting and other comments make the A123 cells seem a bit premature for reliable bot building. Using different batteries may put the cost up rather high; we need to look at all the options. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Coburg to Oakliegh is long distance driving ??! it takes about 20 minutes !
Otherwise, a train from city to the station is about the same time and the station is 500m from SideTracked. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Ok well George was keen to have a fight between King Pin and Maestro and there is always the cluster option so AFAIK lightweights are go.
I haven’t done anything with the POP that is the lightweight version of Rat yet but I can make it a priority if team Australia are going to have a bot ready so if you can let me know once you work things out.
my mum said no to a robot oriented holiday so... im out _________________ Oh god, that old signature was terrible...

I might not be able to go as my cousins are staying and one of them might get bored and complain about this or that and they're not allowed to spend too much on the games at sidetracked. He could just bring his PSP though. I don't know about the older cousin though, if he can bring a laptop if he has one he could just play a game on that. _________________ It seemed like a good idea on paper...

I'm in. got a new bot called Spear-Head.
Bullant is finished, if we are looking at a lightweight match then count me in. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
