DAMAGE CAUSED TO ROADKILL FROM THE JOLT VS ROADKILL FIGHT (plus some from the so sorry fight).

A general view of the bot:

Military spec hinge torn:

Aluminium top crappified:

Square punched clean through 3mm steel (the piece just fell out afterwards) and into the UHMW underneath. Also the 5mm TI taking some insane damage. This hit was so huge it actualy caused a crack in the UHMW!!! And my reciever was about 2cm behind it
Laughing :

I think andrew got some general pics too, and jeff.

Great pics. Sorry I couldn't make it, I had to work. Hope to be there for the Annihilator - where, I'm sure, Jolt will kick arse.

Re 'Seeds (the movie script): I've applied for 'SPARK!' a script workshop run by the Aussie Film Commission. It's on the shortlist. Will find out if it's successful in early/mid September. If it gets in, it means cred, and funding for another draft. So, there may be bots on the big screen yet - but don't hold your breath.

Just shows you how many dud scripts are out there!

Glad today was a good day.

Cheers to all

Supa

yes a very impressive day it was, eveyrthing ran smoothly , there were many matches, nice relaxing atmosphere, jeff had robot wars going on the ps2, glen was driving his petrol rc car round a bit.

The matches today were very good indeed, chris always brought his A game with his fleet, so sorry was impresive for a fan motor at 12 volts, very impressive indeed, cobra for being a battered robot still did very well slamming eveyrbody around the arena repeatedly, roadkill couldnt be hurt even after facing all spinners there and taking the best hits jolt could dish out in one of the most spectacular matches i have ever seen.

It has got me fired up more than ever to finish new orbit, got beetleweight parts so i should be able to start that in next week or two and chris suggested a friend of his who welds boat trailers to weld up orbit as he did a old version of sorry and never suffered any problems with the welds.

im psting up the 4 pictures i took today ( as there were only 5 bots but if u really need to see a pic of cobra look at any of last events Razz)

Looks like a nifty CNC setup none-the-less Wink Now you just need a Nichi Ra fan motor behind it Chris... Then they will be Oh So Sorry Laughing

Great day, I even got El B driving around by the end of it so I`m back into building Yipeee!

I`ll try and get pics off the tape tonight but the cam stuffed up half way through.

I have to work out the current, up to date points totals as well when my head clears from after event drinks.

Vodka is bad m`kay?

Very Happy i was pretty happy with the spinner ,thanks for the raps and it was good to see a couple of scratches on jolt lol only cause he was a wedge for the day .all i need to do is work on the balance with the weapon and increase the robots speed .
it needs to manouvre quicker so i can strike a bit quicker ,those bloody 50mm high 100kmh robots we have in sydney are to bloody hard to chase down and hit lol ,one minute you line em up next blink their gone .and top of that angus with his TI armour can happily be smashed all over the arena and comes back biting at the heels ,so a bit to do but both monolith and sosorry came out undamaged which was good
