Event location sounds great! So you have a new robot underway, whats its name? Onramp and Bullant have a new friend, is it an ultibot or a flat floor robot?

NMO is planning on showing with 6x7 and fred (feather weights.) A sentry kerosine flamthrower and another all terain bot that is under construction. for ultibots.

We were hoping that there would be a feather comp as well as ultibots on the day,

It's drawing closer...... I can smell the blood, I mean sparks dripping off the bots already!!!!!!!

The main event for the day will be the featherweight comp, as far as it being a part of the series, sure, as long as we have the bots to compete.

Being that we will may still need some work done as far as gameplay and the like before an Ultibot comp is a comp everyone understands and can be a part of.

Besides you guys still need to see this Quarry site, there may be some things you think need to be done there.

The other bot im going to build will be lightweight/Ultibot like Bullant.

PS. Onramp now has a FLAME THROWER Twisted Evil

QLD has been running a comp all year with 6 robots, so I don't see any issue with having enough featurweights to compete. The only difference is that we would probably have to use a round robbin style event. We had talked about that at the last Grantville day.

Mat and I really want to battle test our new robots in any case.

Onramp did have a lot of room inside for a gas bottle, Hmm; maybe a little fireproofing is in order.

What time do you wont everyone to be there?

As far as Ultibot game play how could anyone be confused about that; it’s easy. Everyone gang up on Net bot. Don’t think you can be aligned with more than one team at a time though. Smile

11am is a good time to kick off, break for lunch (BBQ) at 1pm.
later start is better, friday night being party time and all.
just a thought, should we meet at the factory, we all know the locale, then head to the quarry?

I vote the factory, just wondering will Ultibots be on first? The weather is a factor and daylight. Its just that depending on a few things I might have to swap parts between the Ultie’s and the arena bots and if I know who is on first we can set things up so they are ready to rumble when we get there.

Get in between the frost melting and it getting dark again before the banana benders remind me about certain climatic considerations. Smile

I guess we can play it by ear, but for now lets plan to have the Ultibot comp pending weather and Ultibot turnout. Eather way we meet up at the factory at 11am and haed off to the Quarry even if its just for a walkover.
Hows that sit for everyone?

Reason I went for factory is at least I know where it is, also the distance we have to travel I am not sure how punctual we will be, might just as easily get there early as late.
One question, any power at the Quarry. Question

Oh one other thing; how did that magazine article go?

I'll be there. I'll bring my video camera and I could bring my 300W inverter and a car battery.

I will be brining a generator as part of our not quite finished recharging bot.
It wont be in the battle but I would like to get photos of it and a couple of other non-functioning bots in the Quarry. Smile
