Most emails will not allow attachment sizes great than 10meg.
If your render works out bigger than that (quite likely), you will need to either FTP it to botclips.net directly, or send it to aaron via IM chat Transfer or another file transfer method.
Rendering to a nice format can be troublesome. Dont be tempted to use .wmv format if possible. Its the easiest to make work, but is also Microsoft's closed/proprietary format with copy-protection built in.
Trust me, you really dont want to encourage the use of Microsoft-only formats unless you want Microsoft to own your media in the future. Use something more open like .mpg or Div/X in Avi format. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

OK, thanks for the advice and I'll be in trouble as far as sending Email then, since its 615mb for a 2 an half minute clip!..I rendered it in AVI format, how could I go about making it smaller file?

compress it?
lol
sounds like its uncompressed, raw frames.
mini-DV is ~13Gb per hour.
I suggest X-Vid codec. Its like Div-X but open source so its even less "closed" ;->
mpeg 2 if you want maximum compatibility (but it'll be quite a bit bigger in terms of file size)
you could use virtualdub and xvid to do the compression (2 pass of course)
its not straight forwards in terms of setup, its a "tool chain" not a point and click. But its not too difficult. There is a windows installer for X-Vid and virtual dub runs from anywhere.
Upside both things are like 2mb all up and free! _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

The 23rd July date was for a get together at David’s to talk rules etc for UltiBot’s Tim.
Not like a regular builders meet at Sidetracked etc. August 26 is the date to work towards for a real competing event
