Barely a week untill the event guys, who is bringing what? It sounds like Orbit will not be making it and Chris has work commitments. How are the rest of you positioned? Jolt will be there to take on Cobra again. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

I'm desperatly piecing together another roadkill, but it's a shoddy ali angle build like cataclysm was, so not sure how much "jolting" it could take!
It does however have my new 5mm wedge on it lol. _________________ ( •_•)

I should be good for Saturday - the insomnia is gone (mostly) and if someone can pick up Glen's MIG then we can weld. If the gas control works, I can bring along a tank of argon or we can just go with the usual gasless wire. We could also use Andrew's stick welder, although I don't know how it will go on the thin edges of the floor tiles. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

doubtful about the gas supply, i havent yet finished hooking up the solenoid valve.. (the connectors to it are so so tiny and i cant solder to them). _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

What, smaller than the SMD you were working on last week ? I'm sure the gasless wire will be just fine - I have a roll of ordinary steel wire we could have used. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Need to buy more welding sticks
It goes alrite on thn stuff, welded up the 1-2m steel sheet sculptor with it and besides some spots were i blew some holes in it it worked fine and i patched up the holes nicely and ground it down to smooth finish _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

I can bring my MIG if need be, its pretty small and I could probably bring the Argon too . . . I hate the gasless slag, although I do have a small roll of gasless should the gas run out. _________________ Jeff Ferrara

Glen, next time you're at Pick N Payless, find a plug for that solenoid from a car.
That one came from a Nissan, but I think the same ones are used in heaps of cars.
The other option is to find a similar solenoid, complete with some wiring.
Yet another option is to buy some really small spade connectors, or pull them out of the old flat telephone plugs _________________ The Engine Whisperer
