Very Happy Well folks i do believe we have about 8 weeks to the anhillator and i gotta say its been very quiet .
i know we in sydney will be having an event about 5 weeks before that so it should be a good test day
So far we have all the sydney bots and the kerroos with robots ,aaron as a spectator lol.
I would still like to see it run with 2 events[tag and 1on1] and i hope you all agree ,a round of battles on the friday would see for a much cruisier weekend and an earlier finish on the sunday for folks needing to get home.
i would like to see a few numbers just to see what we are in store for .

Is friday morning compulsory? We are hoping to just fly down early friday morning, pick up some CO2 on the way and arrive for lunch. That way we would only need one day off work. It seems that the whole 3 day event was thought up when you were expecting more intersate teams to be able to attend. Now we are the only interstate team to confirm you seem to be down a lot on numbers and maybe only 2 days of organised compitition is needed.

Any news? I'd prefer to buy plane tickets as soon as possible, but we have to wait for an answer first.

Maybe this is why we are the only inter-state people considering to go to this event?

Mat and I are hoping to come up to this event, however I've recently started a new job that may involve weekend work. I don't get my roster till 2 weeks prior if that and unfortunetly as I've just started working for the company leave is not an option.

I hope we can make it but will have to let you know closer to the time. if we can make it we would be looking at flying up friday.

I'm in the same boat as Neweyn... I can't get leave either... I might be able to pull some weekend shifts and earn a few bonus days off, or just be "sick" for the 2 days before the event...

Come on man, most of us are at work or school during the day, I personaly just got back.
I don't see why the friday is needed now, there's far less robots than there couldn've been. It would probably just mean the sunday is more full on.
Any one against friday for testing/setting up? Smile

Lots of us for the previous international events!

I presumed that it was just going to be the friday afternoon anyway to get a few of the matches done. But like you said that probably won't be necessary. WE'll just make Friday a setup day, and maybe have a few matches if we want. No pressure for anyone really.

I think we're out. Qantas have sold out tickets flying down on Friday and returning Sunday night. We left it too late.
