600g so far... (without weapon batts and controler). I don't think it will end up weighing 1kg! (I think I'll just build another then!)

Cluster may be the way to go, got the relay and 12v batt today Twisted Evil
The batt wouldn't last more than like ONE match, but still... 12v in a 3v motor! Twisted Evil

12V divided by 3V motor under load = toasty brushes / comm / windings . . .

Ok, thought i'd just reopen this thread instead of starting a new one, i REALLY want to build a 1kg antweight, but don't want waste the monney if there's no place or comp for it. Even if its an unofficial comp where I fight against others in jeffs old cardboard arena, I DON'T CARE!!! So, is anyone else up to it? Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

i agree with the beetle weight limit and all that jazz.

I may build one but not sure when, already have parts minus servo's for it so well see what happens with it.

Also deciding on a design too to stick with Smile.

I just rebuilt my little ant, now with a horizontal blade rather then a vertical one. It was about 600g at Robowars II, but I now have smaller wheels, drive motors and base plate, but a bigger saw blade. I'll weigh it at work tommorrow.
Also my brothers lifter ant is now more of a flipper, but is being rebuilt again.
