Visual robot styling

I thought I could remember this thread but I couldn't find.

Robots need more style. More neons and paint.

If I still had a spinner this is what I would do.

hmmmmm maby fr my shell bot i have planned i could use it to get my spedo hapenin Smile i wonder if it could be moddable t take a read from a digital speedo... hmmmmm open source hmmmmm might have t get me one Very Happy and 3 min thats perfect for our matches Very Happy

Seriously though there cool as heck but i reckon with all the g forces and shiz going through a spinning weopon on each hit that it wouldnt survive.

thats why you set them in resin (the led's) and bolt them in Smile

you would want to use something like a water clear urithane
resin would be too brittle (well most of them anyway)

I am thinking about making one for a motorbike (and perhaps a car lol i can see some of them making the ole telstar look nifty as)

Probbly go with something a little different, IE a 16F877A and a bunch of transistors but that'd be about it. not all those other chips on the way down.

can make the whole thing with bits from jaycar then. (and hopefully a dern sight smaller) say glen you still got all them that sot23 FETS ;->

(you can only power 20 LED's from the PIC, well 20 *on* at any time. blast)
