Slightly OT. Do you think Orbit has problems getting a bite into wedges because it has such a wide tooth? VL seems to grab angle sides and wedge quite easily, because the teeth are only 4mm thick and they are usually quite sharp.
An example of this is that VL has cut through our 3mm aluminium, like on T2M, but Orbit just bent it in and left a big score mark when mashing T2M @ RoboWars4, but it didn't actually cut through it (Which was lucky for us ).

bah either way, nah i like the wide tooth effect as it works well and gets more of a grab then a cut which i like and it just works, it cut a massive gash 10mm wide from bottom to top nearly through 3mm back end of scoopy doo at brisbane so it does cut through ali nicely, it even mangled and bent/chewed up some of the 10mm ali on singularity.
The problem is simple, the bottom of the tooth is about 3.5cm off ground which is pretty major, for most things its not a major problem but for certain annoying wedges like angus's bot and cobra it has many issues doing anything against it and well gets owned simply.
The rebuild of orbit will have no problem getting a bite on low wedges and worst case even then if it has issues i got a backup plan which will help controll the match _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

I'll bring some material for Orbit and Jolt to bash on when I come down to the Annihilator. I'm really interested in seeing the results. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

It's not *just* the wide tooth; Jolt gets quite deep cuts into aluminium and even steel with a 20mm wide tooth. Orbit's big problem is that the teeth are severely rounded off and don't have any hook - they need a long visit from Mr Angle Grinder Alternatively, thinner sharp bolt-on teeth made from that sheet of Bisalloy we salvaged would be neat. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Aaron, you're too kind Roadkill is only 7kg as well...
The teeth on orbit are bluntened quite a bit, but it seems to work ok for now, don't sharpen the teeth andrew! Also thanks Nick and Aaron for getting the video's done finaly _________________ ( •_•)
After speaking to Jeff F. I am going to put up a test page to see how we can front-end the video content and get people visiting the site - ideas welcome, but discuss them on the general video clips page so more people give feedback. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Jeff didnt record Jolt vs Roadkill? _________________ ( •_•)
I am not sure if Jeff got it, but I recorded it in HD, unfortunately the tape is for the Uni doco so you will have to wait a few weeks until they have captured it for editing and I can snaffle the tape for us.

Just watched all the videos..
Anguz seems to be upsetting a lot of the big bots with his underweight bot with a small budget
Cobra OWNED
Orbit OWNED
Jolt OWNED
You gotta give Anguz and Roadkill some serious credit for that event. If we had awards going at events, I would have given Anguz the "Most Improved Bot" and probably "Best Driver" awards

yeah angus definitely surprised alot of people thats for sure, i got my revenge in rumble by ripping his wedge off and throwing it to the roof
He id def one bot i dont want to face until i have next version of orbit going thats for sure, ill be leaving orbit as is as i too lazy for next event as it so close then going real hard to have new version done for event after that so next event ill get pretty owned me thinks _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

How did people find the titles? Too long / short / small - let me know what U think. Also, I was thinking of adding info about the winner at the end as some times it's not obvious. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
