AAA 800mah $1.65 each (rrp $3.70)
AA 1200mah $1.35 each (rrp $3.25)
there are a few other size mah batteries but these caught my eye most, cheap beetle weight batts!

Yes robots cures all. Bad day at work, build some robot. Very soothing exercise indeed.
Lindsay those batteries do look good. But only 1.2ah? That'll mean recharging after matches. or buying spares. Then you may as well as use alkalines

1.2ah is a fair bit for a beetle. my one with the cybot drives and a drill motor on the hammer lasted for hours and that was .7ah _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

I was under the impression decent alkaline batteries are about the same mah rating as decent NIMH, so around 2ah to about 2.5 ah?
the main thing is the NIMH batts will give much higher peak amperage and more power overall in high drain aplications.

Yeah, i read up also somewhere their no good when underload and become very pathetic! My 700mah 12v pack will need recharging after each match, but hey, it takes hardly any time to fast charge them, they deliver plenty of power and are cheap as chips! _________________ ( •_•)
i'd rather charge than buy a new set each time
also in terms of performance under load
Ni-CD
NIMH
SLA
