Sounds like I will have to get Jolt V3 plans advanced - it uses the same Mag motor & gearbox, but in a Totally Offensive undercutter design Razz. My take on the concept (so far) is to have a smaller bot with a disk in place of a bar. This allows the wheels to be tucked in behind the blade for protection and reduces the chassis weight so the weapon can be heavier. This should counter all these ultra low steel tanks that Glen is building, as well as the saw undercutters like Retread and IG.

The POP is being compiled right now for a build early in the new year...

hey why dosn't someone make an invertable wedge/spinner(cutter) and driveit so the inverted wedge part gose over jolts front wedge and under his spinning bar to run in to it?

not sure how affective it might be but hey if someones willing to try.

someone said theory is onething reality is another thing.
He might get a shock someone driving in to HIM Shocked

Looks like undercutters might be flavour of the month before long. Confused
One of the Bender POP’s we are working on is an undercutter, Personally I think they are a rather un sporting design but as Matthew pointed out to me its not a popularity contest, its his bot and his call.
I just think that there are ways to win without damaging your opponent but I suppose smashing your opponent to pieces or at least chopping his wheels into tiny pieces is a nice straightforward plan. Rolling Eyes

I hope I get to fight Wayde in the first round, but if he beats me, oh the shame, the shame of it all.

Yes; Frag was always borderline weight wise, we are going to re-enforce the weapon motor mount and hopefully get him working reliably and use him for fillers. Demos etc instead of bots we are using to compete with. Smile

As far as showing picks I am buying a new camera very soon, I could use the little one of Brett’s that he loaned me but I won’t to use my own.
Details of Bender Mmm for a start there are 2 of him, one is a bumper bot like Reboot with a disc PlanB style and the other is a motor bike tyre and Totally Offensive undercutter with scooter power on the weapon and electric window motors on the drive. Cool

We will probably eventually build both but a new version of Ballistic is my preferred choice for the next Vic state series.
There is 2 other Vic spinners that I know about not counting Rotorblade that I must get around to finishing for Brett so the next Vic series promises to be destructive enough with out the Rotwang team fielding anything worse than Reboots 100w drum.
There will also be another 100w drum out there too but I don’t like discussing other peoples bots too much in case they think I am giving away classified information.

I'd say he'd be pretty used to that by now, seeing as its the tactic most people use . . . 1)Bolt something big, strong and heavy to your bot 2) Run into the blade at full speed 3) Thank Newton.

I'm not sure I see the point of that - I WANT people to run into the blade. If a bot misses the teeth, they still hit the reasonably sharp & hard Ti bar. Cobra did something like that early in the year and it's frame took a beating. The top of Jolt is not armoured, but a wedge will not be in the right place to do it any damage - Look to an overhead saw or hammer for that.
