However i have to say on the OTHER end of the spectrum, i think that liquid nitrogen bot someone had as a joke could be legal in the ultibot comp... right?

Damn there gose my ultra bot idea looks like we may have to do the mythbusters thing and get the local police involed to make sure we can do it at this rate.
Wilko read the rules for both comps or think to your self "if i was standing behind 10mm polycarb would i like to be this close to that robot using it's weapon?" when it goes wrong
i don't like fireing up the weapon for weapon test with out some sort of shelding _________________ For West ausies interested in robotics email me at: theoneshrug@hotmail.com

I think that liquide nitrogen should fall under the same catagory as a liquide fueled flame thrower. They should only be used in a water tight arena. Can you imagin liquide nitrogen or burning fuel leaking onto your feet as your standing next to an arena.
As I discused with Philip about his April fools day robot the only difficulty with a liquide nitrogen robot would be the nozzle. The liquide would begin to boil off as soon as it leaves the nozzle which would freeze the nozzle and make it very brittle. Over come that problem and your home and hozed. Apart from the difficulty of trying to find somewhere where you could actually use it. _________________ Get Some!!!

Sarcasm; I think anything goes as long as you put a smiley face on the end!
At marayong (correction; Quakers hill) I have no objection to someone pumping nitrous oxide into the viewing area (this is a joke from a drunk guy)
Flame weapons; (to recap, for Marayong) Are fine for the Beetle weights etc. while we are behind sheilds with fire extinguishers and buckets of water but not for the featherweights. OK?

OK, I'll bite.. since its for their own good..
Anybody who uses the words "recipie" and "explosive" in the same sentence isnt long destined for this world.
Cooks use recipies.. chemists dont. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Ammonium Nitrate is no longer available (due to the explosives potential). It was a key component in my potting mix recipe.

Crack Torch
Speaking of flame weapons, there's an antweight from Interia Labs called Crack Torch which use Pneumatics and butane gas to release a flame as a weapon. http://www.longnow.org/rhino/CrackTorch.htm _________________ It seemed like a good idea on paper...
