build a normal one, woodzilla wont be ready by then. gunna be a fun event i hope, so is it right to assume no chris, wayde or andrew?

ill have to get started on jolt-tooth-bling v2 just for that added psyche out effect, no doubt itll be kang vs jolt first time off for the 3rd time Razz

Why can't they save the best till last? Laughing I am hard at work on Jolt, but time is running short and there still seems soooo much to do.

Nick, there is an important lesson in life you must learn. When times are tough, and your flat out, DUCT TAPE IT! Razz

I reckon that would be the greatest challenge, building a robot where the parts are entirely held together with duct tape Laughing

well i can get my gaff free from a buddy who works as a sound and light tech, so i think I might just have to take up that challenge!

(the free part was important cos otherwise it would be my most expensive bot if I had to buy gaffa!)

i reckon no other material other than gaffa...

motor mounts = gaffa tape
battery mounts = gaffa tape
frame and armour = gaffa tape

other then that do whatever i reckon, i feel cable ties and tie wire would be a total contamination of the overall "tapeness" of the robot Surprised

So hows everyone going for this event? I've thrown together a pretty good beetle i'll give a demo with and maybe joint shredding of objects with slash but no combat. Seems due to HSC we'll be missing glen, jeff and andrew? Sad

Correct, but even if hsc wasnt on i dont have anything to compete with as orbits in pieces and stuff.

Ill be getting back into everything fiercely after hsc but till then nothing.

While I have fond memories of the HSC (NOT!!!), I will just come along with Jolt and Slash - no textbooks. I think I have Slash's spin problem licked enough to make it work in a match...
