Just a question, will wood "funbotics" class bots be welcome at this event?

Its just i don't really have the time to build both a featherweight and wood robot (at this time though it may change), yet i still would love to compete in january... also unless against heavy duty spinners, thick MDF is quite good amour, and easy to fix! Smile

Hmm, unless there is a sudden explosion of people building them, I doubt we will run a specific class just for them, I'd have to see at least 4 or 8 robots to run a fun-botics class.

However, theres nothing to stop you from entering a MDF bot in the normal featherweight competition provided it meets all safety rules and regs etc.

You might get turned into a pile of sawdust however when coming up against the more powerful feather spinners, but if you dont mind that, go ahead.. Smile

If enough people build funbotics class bots, then I would consider running a class for them

Not yet. I'll be visiting the guys down at SideTracked soon and see how they feel about it - Cant see a problem at this point, but until its booked in I cant say for sure. should know next week.

So its about as good a date as we can get and noone has any major problem with it ?
