On the driving more than one bot per weight class I think that a number of builders would think that it would give the bigger established teams with lots of chargers, bots, radios and controllers an unfair advantage.

One exception I would like to suggest is cluster bots.

I think that as long as the number one or designated driver only drives the cluster anyone else can fill in as the second driver including someone driving another bot in that class.
Not a problem for Andrew of corse, he can control the second segment with his toes. Smile

It’s just that I would like to see some clusters and they just aren’t viable under the current arrangements

Hey Brett - is a date for the annual Robowars firming up yet? If its in early to mid December, its about time us interstaters think about booking cheap airfares.

I havent pinned down a definite date yet.

I was thinking around Jan 14-15 this time to try and avoid clashing with the pre-christmas rush.. How does that sound to those who are thinking of making the trip ?

That works for me but it might clash with people having family holidays. The further away the event is, the better for my rebuid of Jolt Twisted Evil !

So is the 14th/15th OK for you then ? I like the look of that date. End of Jan is getting too late I think, Australia day holidays and stuff.. Early Jan is too close to NYE. Can you fly from Darwin to Melbourne if you ship the bot down earlier ?

You can send your bot etc to me if you like Glen, where I work would be best as we get deliveries there every day.
