The detailed catalogue is available: http://www.graysonline.com.au/sale.asp?SALE_ID=7371

There is plenty of stuff that I would expect to go cheap and I am definitely going out there tomorrow for the inspection day. Its a pity that Geln's Brobo cut-off saw is 415V. I will be going for the oxy gear and an angle grinder, perhaps some of the shelving and stock...

If anyone wants a lift, just let me know.

The auction is on this Wednesday at 10:30 am - that might make it a bit difficult if you have school Sad

I just found that my XU-1 angle grinder was ripped off so I will really be tyying to get a better quality one at the auction

hehe, I can see some theif now, trying desperately to escape from an enraged Nick/ Dog/ Policmen he finds himself trapped in a basement, the only way out to anglegrind a lock off.

He wips out an anglegrinder he stole, but oh no! its an XU1! halfway through the lock it explodes, killing the theif instantly!

The guy deserves all that and more, just due to his bad taste! There were two premium cordless drills only inches away from the XU-1. Lucky for me that he obviously had never used power tools before Very Happy !

would an XU1 kill you quickly or would it do a half assed job leaving you to die slowly and horribly?

plasma cutters are fairly simple devices.

If I end up getting a TIG welder with HF start (if anyone goes to the auction, and there's a decent TIG welder for under $500 get it for me Smile) I'll make a plasma cutting torch for it.
I don't know if I'd want to put it on the CNC mill here though Smile

Well, the auction was a waste of time - I have never seen such a load of old crap! The welding gear was very heavy duty and all the oxy stuff was designed for cutting thick steel plate, not delicate welding on featherweight parts.

The plasma cutters might have been OK, but the handpieces looked like they needed replacing.

Pretty much anything except the hand tools was 415v or needed a crane to move - I have a 20 amp 240V circuit but that's all. Did you go to the auction? I went to the inspection yesterday.
