While digging up some tutorials and guides on how to use LMMS, I found this cool little track on youtube.

Gates to Hell by BlueWolf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu9bQA-UKOU

It's compiled in LMMS using only system sounds from Windows XP and 2-3 beats from LMMS. Thought it was really well put together Smile

Don't even bother with the major labels, After working at EMI and knowing the AR guy at Sony, they are all assholes. Go indy, I recommend Modular. Steve Pav was a really nice guy and while he does mostly different genres to you, he keeps a very open mind. You might also approach Ministry of Sound, I'm not sure if they are still looking for local talent, but worth a shot.

Lol nick, it's been a while since I posted that. Laughing The 'label' I was in contact with has since gone broke anyway, I've given up trying to please others and otherwise make money from making music, I just do it for a hobby. I've got a small fanbase of friends and family, happy with that. Laughing I know all too well how big wankers labels are...

@aaron, mad track, heard some like that. Laughing They cheat though, pitching the sounds to fit hehe. Got any progress with the linux music stuffs?

Could someone give me some music that would not infringe copyright? I would like to create a little high lights video of my robots at the Nationals. I liked the music that was played on the day.

Anyone able to throw in some advice on the quality of Yamaha keyboards? I'm tossing up the idea of getting a keyboard like the Yamaha EZ-220 to learn on and tinker with, just not sure if it's worth the outlay Razz
