I posted up a video of me playing with my circuit bent keyboard, something different. Thought some people might like it. Only about $10 worth of equipment there, rest was salvaged or free. That includes the cheapo batteries running it too!

Thats pretty cool.. Listen to those poor abused circuits squeal
On that note, You might like to read this

by the creator of the DevilFish - a series of bending mods to the infamous TB303 by one of the weirdest characters in electronic music I've met - Robin Whittle.. I have never heard anyone talk about synths quite the way he does..
but nevertheless, good to see people being wacky and creative.. fits the robot builder vibe well _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Nice work Angus, wish I was coordinated enough to play keyboards. Since I can't do that, I recently got Traktor and this neat little midi controller:
Hours of fun and I plan on never buying a physical CD ever again. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yes, Lots of fun those devices.. I run a Hercules MkII DJ controller. Having it on your desk next to your computer is great. you can fire it up and giv some tunes a spin whenever the mood takes you..
Have a look at www.virtualdj.com - I prefer it to Traktor, although its mainly a look'n'feel thing. a bit like the old "commander vs xtree" style of stuff.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Hey Brett; what's your tip on a good source of non-drm music on-line? I was going to use Beatport, until I found they severely limit what I can get in Australia _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Thats a pretty general question.
It depends on what style of music you want, and whether you want to pay for it or not.
There lots of discussion on different DJ sources for tunes on the VirtualDJ forums here - http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/16/Music_discussion.htm _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
I got a new soundcard recently so have finaly been able to lay down some of my ideas into songs. It took a bit more practice but this is the first one i'm happy with, samples from the infamous deathdrum vs greenwave fight!
On a similar note, I've determined what my after hsc project is going to be...
It's a diy midi interface... potential for 64 imputs...!
It's not easy, but definately doable, especialy seeing as pcb's are available. _________________ ( •_•)

Huge multi channel Analog/Midi setups are neat to look at, but involve a heap of real-world problems to be solved to make them work.
I helped a friend of mine with a 16 channel midi system - the timing synchonisation issues, and audio earth loops from the multiple analog sound connections were like trying to keep an orchestra in tune. He had to use a pile of "direct injection" isolation boxes and gradually "warm up" the studio bringing each keyboard online one at a time checking for hum and hiss on a channel by channel basis.
When everything was humming in sync it was awesome, but it was very hard to get everything running just right at the same time.
Most of his music now is done by running one or 2 synths, sampling the output and running the sampled output in a multi-track digital audio mixing program where earth loops and track sync issues dont occur.
He only runs one or 2 midi controlled channels on the keyboards he wants to tweak the knobs on live while playing. Everything else is sampled/prerecorded one at a time.
So I'm not saying dont go there, but be aware its a big job to run a decent sized midi controlled studio _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Oh, your latest track sounds very happy-hardcore-ish
As far an that style goes, its quite good.. It reminds me "Annihilating Rhythm" by Ultrasonic - probably *the* signature happy hardcore track
Cheers for the imput Brett!
I might hold off that project for now then, I still have a theremin kit to finish
On another note, here's an experimental work i've done. Dystopic is the idea, but it changes.

I have all these song's on cd.
I think the main source of confusion is the genres. Happy hardcore is pretty different to straight hardcore.
Then you have gabber and others which are just insane. _________________ ( •_•)
