Proposed changes to Victorian Season

Vic title series - Originally proposed as a 8 round series - reduced to 7 rounds
I propose to end the Victorian Season one round early and hold the "nationals" as a separate and independent event . This will make the Vic series a 7 round series and separate trophies will be given out for the Vic title and National title .

Finishing the Vic series at the “nationals” could potentially disadvantage the regular Victorian competitors . Imagine a scenario where the Vic series is hotly contested between two bots and one has the misfortune to be destroyed in the opening round by a interstate bot ? . Unable to be repaired properly before its next fight the damaged bot goes on to lose its next fight and its Vic title chances . Finishing a round earlier will allow the competitors time to prepare for a hotly contested “national” event and one bot will go into the nationals as the “Vic champion“

I'd support that change. makes sense to me. especially as the amount of destruction delivered is only going to increase as we all build better bot's.

Its seems a fair enough proposal. Should the majority of Victorian competitors wish it to be the case, then so be it. If not, things will remain as they are.

Do you have a support list Ric?.

Actually , I have planned sheduled and structured the Victorian Season
The question should be - does any Victorian have a problem with the proposal and if so why . The planned change is concepted to remove any potential un-fairness that may result from completing the Vic series at the "Nationals" . The forum is here so those whom it affects to list their reasons for not doing it .

Robowars appreciates your volunteer efforts Ric. Explanations of why the proposal exists and the reasons for this forum are not neccessary - especially to me, as l am not a recent addition to this org but have been around since it's beginning.Wink
