Evil Spkie 2 vs Hellbringer X. Hellbringer killed itself after hitting a wall.


Losers Melee:

Hellbringer vs Prancing Queen vs Hercules. Hellbringer rammed PQ which had fully spun up and PQ flew half way across the arena where it died. Hellbringer then rammed Hercules which then lost a wheel. Hellbringer won.

Round 2:
Marauder vs Scarfier. Both robot hit head on. Scarfier tried to flip Marauder, but Scarifier ended up doing a wheelie and parking on top of Marauder which then flipped it and broke the batteries.

Hellbringer vs Evil Spike 2. Ramming and pushing by both robots until ES2's base plate got bent and beached the robot.

Final:
Marauder vs Hellbringer. Had to be fought twice because our judges can't make up their minds. I'm pretty Hellbringer won.

And then there was the Melee with Scarifier, Prancing Queen, Hercules and Evil Spike 2. Scarfier was dominating as usual and won the fight a few times but ended up burning out a motor while Evil Spike was still mobile.

A good day all round. It didn't seem right with Team Vertex not being there. Nic put on enough food to feed a team of sumos.

Marauder didn't suck as much as in previous events. I am filthy with myself for not having sufficient gas and for not realising that Andrew had broken one of my wheels. Hellbringer took Marauder on a tour of the arena.

I can't get the video off the camera. I've been trying for a few days now and I have a feeling I've broken my video capture card/cable. The computer detects some thing has been plugged in but doesn't know that its the video camera.

No more video's from me for a while.

I cant say for sure yet i was thinking of organising one here for these holidays but due to personal commitments beyond my control i cant ... but i might look at it later in the year .

Video problems have been fixed. I brought a new card thingy for my computer which was half the price of the one I brought last year. This one is internal so I proberbly won't stand on it in the middle of the night.

Anyway here is a video of the good bits from the last 2 robot compititions here in Queensland. You can tell which fotage is from round three as it is rather dark and the fotage from round 4 has much better lighting.
