dunno about that..... back in '96 I was working in a factory making mining explosives. A major customer in South Australia was broken-into at one point. HEAPS of detonators and high-ex was nicked over a weekend.
Around 8 months later, the US embassy in one of the African nations was blown to bits - the FBI claimed it was caused by mining explosives but didn't know where the stuff had come from.... the media didn't have a clue eithor.
Around the same time, world stock market prices for copper went through the roof.... and a massive drag-line bucket crane was promptly put out of action in Western Australia over a weekend when someone stole approx. 10 kilometers of its copper drag-line cable (which would have needed some 20+ semi trailer loads to remove)... once again there was no word of it in the media - we found out because it was another explosives customer who was robbed. _________________ There is no such thing as excessive carnage.
