Give us a break, we havn't started stripping down Adversay or Hellbringer yet, let alone started rebuilding them yet.

Onya, Marto. We can't run spinners in the park but we can still have a go.

yeah i figured that. might have one or 2 finished by the end of the holidays ( 2 weeks) so maybe the weekend after we could have a bit of a play around in the park. BTW the other 2 are only wedges so they should be fine to run in the park but BB would really only be there to drive around spinners without an arena is just 2 dangerous especially with the bigger motor for the spinner now Twisted Evil .

Started the frame of my youngest brothers robot today. My other brothers frame is almost finished and i have had the radio gear for his working. Have the wheels of mine re-mounted and the spinner set up so i just have to connect them and put a castor at the front. They should be ready by the end of the holidays and it would be good to have a time to test them out. I Should be able to get down to brisbane most sundays so when would be the best time for everyone else?

I have just had my son's 14th birthday on Sun the 11th and will have my 17th wedding aniversary on the 18th. I will be free to meet after that.

Marauder is in much the same shape as last time.

Hi QLD. What can and cannot be "run in the park" at builders meets? When (or how often) are meets held? Anyone got some advice for a robot combat newby (about how to get started building) at all?

Most robots can be run in the park but anything which could be really dangerous such as a spinner can't. There's really no rule about what can be run in a park. Just common sense.

Hi origional_carnage, welcome. Try to come along to the meet (with an adult if you are young). Everyone I have meet with the robots have always been happy to show exactly how they are made.

Do you have any specific questions you want answered? Have you a prefered weapon? Have you gathered any parts?
