I will be at sidetracked most of the day setting up the sound and everything else . The "random draw" should be done at 6pm with the first round fights directly after . One of (my) volunteers - Judy will start collecting entry fees and registrations about 5pm with your initial weigh-in . Scales will be available after about 3pm . If you have a demonstration bot consider bringing it as dead time will always be present thru the finals period . We will try to assist late comers as best as we can , but this is a public event . If a late arrival causes a opening round bye then you will have to go to the losers round . Expect the timing during this event to be tighter as we will try harder to stay on schedule, rounds 1,2,3 will happen fairly quickly and then there will be a short break .

Some late event changes at Sidetracked...
The arena will now be placed in the same location as it was for Robowars 2
The pits will be in the "Corporate Room” , again as they were in RBW 2
Bot registrations will be inside the pit area as there will be plenty of space there , and access to the pit area will be restricted as best as we can . The new arena location will enable the early arrivals the opportunity to test in the arena while we are setting up .
Remember a barrels will be present in the arena during competition events .
Enjoy

The registrations will start at 5pm and the arena should be open before then , but the event will not start until the advertised time of 6pm (this is to allow for late comers) . The random draw will be done at 6pm with the fights starting shortly after. As I said – “we will try to assist late comers as best as we can” . This means that if you miss the first round , we will still let you in , as long as you are there before the first losers round starts , after that it starts to become unfair to the other competitors . We are trying to finish at a reasonable time , so I will try to keep the timing reasonable tight . With the arena being setup in the middle of sidetracked , hopefully we will be able to test for most of the day .

Just about ready for tomorrow. Just a reminder to whoever borrowed my red long nose pliers at Rye if they could return them. I have always helped anyone out with gaffa, epoxy, tools or advice so its a real pain when things go missing, particularly something useful, so please return them, i know shit happens so all I can do is ask for their return.
Good luck to everyone and looking forward to a good event.
woohoo
