yeha maryong is the closest but the crapy staton has become worse to navigate since they upgraded it so now you cant see the side you want to get to from the platform :S _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

What do we need to do to the arena? There are a couple of big dents courtesy of Jolt and Plan B, plus we were talking about hammering some tile edges flat. Chris mentioned adding disposable MDF bumpers, which sounded pretty good and I can ferry around materials over Easter or the next few weekends if needed.
Jake and I are talking about trying to produce a DVD of the next event (best efforts but no promises ) so improving the plastic drapes would be cool.
Is there anything else we need to do? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Well, the only problem with the video's so far is the reflection of the lexan. Does anyone have one of those spycams? We could remotly mount one in a top corner of the arena, would be interesting. Or mount it on a bot (KILLCAM!).
My only thought on mdf is that it would need replacing after almost every spinner match. Why not get hold of some thick rubber, like that blast matting? That's the sort of stuff they use in battlebots in some arenas. _________________ ( •_•)

Oh, I must have forgot to mention that we actually did this at the House of Carnage with "Scarifier Cam". We had my little radio camera duct taped to the top of Scarifier which fed to a TV out side the arena but we didn't have any way of recording it (I will next time). It was rather freaky to be sitting in front of the TV driving my robot around the arena where I couldn't see it, although the wall of the arena seemed rather close. The main problem was how dark the picture was. We'll need some more lights in the arena, or maybe head lights on the robot.
Also the best ways to reduce glare from polycarb is to make sure there is more light on the inside of the arena then on the out side. _________________ Get Some!!!

i remember you guys tried it with adversary as well.
would be cool to see something like that on video, closest ive gotten was sitting the digital camera on top of the robot chasing it around with my hands a couple of cm away from it lol.
suggestion also for the arena, some lights pointing into the back 2 corners, it was fairly dark there from a filming standpoint. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Town Hall platform 2 goes to Marayong as I remember. Prob`ly every second train.
We could use another build day before the next event. There are a few arena jobs I have been too lazy to finish yet and I would like to arrange a way to make it quick to set up on Sat. mornings.
I will be here, plodding around most of the easter long weekend.
The mdf will work well around the arena wall. I would like to get some paint, Flat black for the walls and some colours to do the corner starting places and tape n stuff.
We have a spy cam and the remote cam to install in the corner. I`m looking fo a mic to run from the top of the viewing area.

I have the microphone and sound all sorted out. We can use my good mic inside the arena and mix in sound from other cameras during editing if needed (like for crowd reactions) _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Hey, do you think we should invest in something like this for sticking in robots?
Or would getting a spy cam be better? either way we so should do one of them! _________________ ( •_•)
Is anyone up for a build day? if glen could make it, we could sort out the steel wedges. Just thinking when would be best... 9th or 10th of april would suit me. I'm on hols from then on so that following week i could to, but i know jeff works, so that might not work. _________________ ( •_•)

i was just looking through the dates and noticed that with the round 2 now on the 23rd there would only be 3 weeks till round 3 [14th may]and only a further 3 weeks till round 4[18th june ] and then just 3 weeks after that the anihillator is on [9-10 july] so we will have 3 battle weekends in around 9 weeks ....... any thoughts _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC
