Favourite bands

OK, I enjoyed hearing everyones favourite bands in the old forums and seeings as we dont really have a topic to discuss bands, I decided i'd make one. Here is my list of good bands (some of them are not exactly the best known bands but I look em up on the net and stuff):

(in no particular order)

Offspring
Rob Zombie
Peroxwhy?gen (i bet sam will know who these guys are...)
Insane Clown Posse (the only real rap band I listen to)
Pearl Jam
ACDC
Motorhead
Guns N Roses (mainly for their song WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE)
Trapt (has anyone heard songs like headstrong?)
Fozzy (sam would definatly know these guys)

As you can see I kinda have a wide appreciation for music that spreads from light rock, hard rock, alternative, punk rock, industrial rap (only ICP) and commercial rap (various songs by bands above)

c'ya from chris

Well the music i listen to either needs to have a meaning behind the lyrics or a message of something that at least makes u think. Or a really awesome musical aspect to it like good beat etc.

Main bands im into r:

P.O.D (payable on death)
Creed,
Alter Bridge
Incubus
Sevendust
Black Eyed Pease
Run DMC
Lost Phrophets
Prob more but cant think of any now.

Dude i thought you were taking a break!?
Well, i like techno and trance, so cd's like gods kitchen and skitz mix take my fancy (various artists). I also make my own techno/trance using cubase 5 on my PC, so... yeah! Very Happy
Oh that reminds me... does anyone want some good royalty free music for our bots movie clips (techno seems to work well with violent mayhem...) Wink

Linkin Park (fav. of the fav's by far)
Nine Inch Nails
The Prodigy
Cypress Hill
Basement Jaxx
Disturbed
Korn
Slipknot
Pretty much all megamixes
Blink 182
Area 7
Good Charlotte
Lost Prophets
The Offspring
Rob Zombie
D12
Moby
Apolo 440
Tupac
Evanessence
Lazyboy
Eminem (yeah, I know . . . )
28 Days

So yeah, I like pretty much anything thats rap, dance or rock, as long as its none of that pop shit, pussy rap (eg Jlo, Ashanti, Ja Rule. . . ) or rock so heavy that theres no longer a beat, just noise (Slipknot are often guilty of this)

If its the same German industrial Band I listen to then they might be called KMFDM.
But it could be another band but thinking they are the same and you made a typo, but hey who knows with these germans.

the band I've been most impressed with recently is The Butterfly Effect.
They're a pretty new Aussie band and the quality of their album "Begins Here" and their live shows is pretty amazing!

yeah the mix of heavy music with excellent quality vocals really is a good effect Smile

Their recent gig at the Gaelic Club was probably the best bit of live music I've ever seen. (And I've seen Tool twice Smile)

Queens of the Stone Age fans might be interested to know that "Lullabies to Paralyse" will be played in it's entirety at 5 pm Saturday the 12th on triplej.
