just think if that was only 850lbs of explosive i wonder what the tzar 500 kiloton hydrogen bomb must have been like Shocked

I think it was just a bit more than that, like 50 MEGATONS! And to think it was actually designed to yield double that . . . . . Ka Fucking Boom!

mmmm even better, ah i love how the soviets couldnt even make chernobyl work yet made globe busters like that

speaking of H bombs do they spit out radiation? on the contrary wouldnt they just absorb radiation?

they're triggered by a fission bomb, so they spit out all that nasty stuff like a regular A-bomb.

They also emit high energy neutrons as a result of the fusion process - and make other stuff mildly radioactive.
