Well good to hear that you have three robots. We will be bringing one or two robots I'm not sure how many we will have going but we will be there.

Nic would anyone new you have met through the hobbyshop be interested in a build day maybe next weekend. It could prolly be like a introduction just maybe showin some controller setups and drives.

Evil Spike 2 on 24V. Sweet. Very Happy

10 - 12 robots. So that'll be 4 straight wins to win the comp. Easy for Scarifier.

Evil or Very Mad No. No Malice of Forethought this time....
The water-cut mob reckon that NEXT week the weapon will be cut (I've heard all kinds of excuses for the delay over the last few weeks...)

And the weapon is needed before I can fit the drive-train... and the weapon is needed before the pieces can be welded together....

I don't know of a word or phrase to describe how pissed off I feel towards engineering businesses in the Toowoomba area at the moment.

Well Vertical Limits and Cheese Shredder are firm, Scott is driving Vertical Limits and I'm driving Cheese Shredder for this event. I have a feeling that Haemorrhage 2 (My nickname for Andrew's new bot) will be there since it's progressing really well with minimal work till completion Cool

How much to do I have to pay you to rig the draw for Cheese Shredder VS Prancing Queen in the first round Very Happy

OK here's the draw

Hellbringer X vs RP7

Evil Spike 2 vs The Cheese

PQ vs Scarifier

Marauder vs Hercules

Sproing vs Verticle Limits

Theres 2 battles with the same teams against each other. If anyone would like to change that let us know and if anyone has any objections also let us know

You're the EO, so you're entitled to do things your own way, but personally I wouldnt be publicising (or even drawing) the first round prior to event day..

I think it will encourage people to make modifications to their bots specifically to take advantage of the weaknesses of their known opponent and upsets the "rock paper scissors" analogy of robot combat where you never know what opponent you will be facing..

Keeping the first round unknown until event day forces people to be more adaptible rather than engineering for a known challenge. (ie, I might add some more ablative armour if going up against a spinner in the first round).

Your call though..
