simple image processing shouldn't be too hard.
put an IR beacon on the bots, use a webcam with IR filter removed and another filter that blocks everything except IR (exposed film works well I hear) and you will get blobs of IR that you can feed into stuff.
take a look at the multi touch stuff, it works in a similar fashion, and should give you info on where stuff is pretty easily. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
