Another short tip .

If you want the left hand screw to hold in tight but still want to be able to remove it dont use loctite.
I smear a bit of light oil on the thread run it into the hole then remove it .Wipe the exces oil of the screw then i put on one small drop of super glue about half way up the thread of the screw then put the screw in and tighten it .
The loctie will harden and tighten the thread but doesnt stick the two parts together .So the screw with some care can be taken back out .

The super glue sort of makes it like a nylock nut in the dril thread .

Some times i have just put the glue on with out oiling it ..this makes it a lot harder but they stil come out useing vise grips lol .

Yes I have used superglue during events when there is no time for lock tight to go off. Smile

Unfortunately Brett learnt this the hard way, I was going to machine him up a spare drive adapter for IG2 so he didn’t need to swap things abought as much in a between round motor and gear box change but that and the anti Plan B gear box guard didn’t get finished . Sad
Perhaps I had better put that on the list for next time.

quite the opposite problem to this treads title...

but i cant get this bitch of a wheel off, ive assembled a jammed gearbox and i just cant get enough grip on the wheel to get it off..

just wondering now if i should hacksaw the shaft off and clamp it into a vice and try again

Have you tried a heat gun? heat expands things, then when it's cooling, give it a yank (works with jam jars...). I think a heatshrink gun would probably work.
