pulled the lego robot apart and went in to proper planing. welding the frame togeter and screwing the tin base plate on not final armorment but it's a start.

Haha thought that mighta got your attention

But seriously it the way the disk is set up it is designed to attack the wheels and if you try to get away catches it on the up and flips you. as the ig proof wheels maybe i went a little to far saying the wheels were i.g proof the wheels have little guards to protect them.and the side are designed to deflect horizontal and fixed vertical attacks.

well it's been a while and i thought i might ass what's been happaning. i've gon and stuck authentic jag parts on my bot for armor (actually is just the roof we dug out of the shed off an old jx jag rusted to buggery but a well it's better than lexan Very Happy . the had the frame welded a bit ago and had the base plate welded on recently. all i need it to borrow a you small angle grinder off you doug and i can start putting stuff in place give me a call when you can about it.

hey alex

sorry i didnt call back, i got stung by a bee just under my eye and one side of my face puffed up bad, so 1 side of my face looks like im a fat,red,china man,. i have no cutting disks left so if you want to use it could you go down to supercheap or collies and get some. (there just like the big one's just smaller).

also if you have a chance go down to dick smith electronics and get 4 micro switchs, i can show you how to wire them up. i dont know if you know how they work? (there switch that servos turn on and of.) so you bot can start driving. Very Happy .

yer so mabey later this week.

ive got windhammers drive working with micro switchs, so she need someone to fight. Smile

got me a big arsed starter motor estamated weight round about 4 kg had some pics but can't seem to get them on the computer. it's a very cool

just got word that we might be able to have the bace plate and bits moving on the week end

(fingers crossed)

well a little disaponted the motor weights 5.5 kg (with solanoid attached) i need help and tips to lighten it. ithought of drilling holes out of the outter case and grinding away bit's and pieces. any other way to lighten it and mayby the robot it self without weakening it(to much).

Car starter motors in general, suck ass. They drew mega loads of current and weigh a lot.
