It's quite confusing isn't it? Mainly because you need to wire the motor in both directions. (ie, foward, reverse)

heres a diagram for ONE SIDE of the drive system. this will control one motor, so you will need two of these setups to control your robot

http://robowars.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=532

basically follow this diagram to the fine point of a T. where there is a dot, connect the wire.

so the two wires from the motor go to the two outside tags on the microswitches.

the two outside tags on top of the microswitch should attach to the same polarity (we will say negative)

and the two inside tags should attach to the same polarity (we will say positive)

now to make the motors spin the correct way you may have to swap the wires around on the battery. so the outside tags are positive and the inside are negative.

Hi Glen ...
I've taken the liberty of tidying up your wiring diagram ... hope you don't mind.

So glen, for the build day this sunday, I need to bring;
2 x Bunning’s XU-1 Battery Drills
2 x Bunning’s Red Wheels
1 x Philips head screwdriver
1 x Allen key to suit your grub screws
16 x grub/set screws with cup-points
1 x 3/8’ or 9.5mm drill
2 x 5/16 large diameter washers
2 x 1/4 large diameter washers
6 x .1uF Disc Ceramic 50v Suppression Capacitors
1 x Loctite or Super Glue
4 x Stainless Steel Hose Clamps

Do I really need suppression capacitors? How about Ferrite beads instead?

I'll also bring my radio, servo microswitch modules, Large block of wood for mounting things, cable ties, my own proper drill and, well, you can't forget gaffa tape, can you? ("it aint a real robot without gaffa tape" I heard someone say somewhere).

If I can come (which I probably can), I'll most likely meet you at blacktown station. I have to go now. See you later.
