Can easily replace Apple and substitute Samsung, HTC or Motorolla in that comic and it still works.

How hard is it to drill holes in biz 300?

I got these new shock mounts today and they are massive.

Where I had the holes lazetcut into the frame they rub the floor so I either make an adapter plate to mount these monsters dead centre or try and drill three holes through wedge and frame.

I have a cordless drill and a vice. Sooo cobalt drills, lots of wd40 and slow to medium speed work or basically it'll.be death and find a plan b

Thanks for any input gents.

Get one of the blue Bosch carbide drills from Bunnings - guys have already proved they work on hardened steel. You can drop around and use my drill press on super low speed if you want, it will do a neater job than a hand drill.

dill wheel mounts

What is the best drill wheel mount method?

I would like to have a bearing on the other side of the wheel to protect the gear box from shock. Would it be better to custom an extended axle or an extended wheel mount?

I am using 12 v Panasonic drills.

Miles has his mounts pretty well sorted.

Check the build thread.

Without knowing what the output shaft on a Panasonic drill looks like its hard to say what the best method to add an outside bearing is. Can you post a photo of the shaft and the wheel hub?

Here is the shaft and wheel mount.

The threaded hole is 18 mm deep into the 25 mm * 1/2" shaft. Andrew A made this for me. It has worked well on 3" wheels for many years, but slipped in the 100 mm cutting board wheels.

I am thinking of making a longer version of Andrew's hub and welding a washer to the end so I can bolt the wheels to the hub. The extended 1/2" shaft would go past the wheel and into a support bearing. A 9 mm diameter hole would need to be drilled into the shaft for the locking screw.

Here is a not to scale paint drawing of the mount that I think will work best.

Thank you for your interest. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: Just saw what Miles has done.

That Panasonic shaft is a huge step up in quality from the average drill. I think your idea will work but the drilled out end of the shaft will be quite weak - the 1.85mm wall thickness could bend or crush.

Need some help to see if i have a fault with the led light inside a switch.

http://www.narva.com.au/sitebuilder/products/dimension/406/63026dimension.png

I have the "ACC pin" wired to positive 12v of my car as the "Positive pin" was dead shorting with the "Ground pin" and the "Ground pin" wired to my car body and the "Relay pin" wired to the negative small side of a std contact relay with the positive small side of the relay wired to the positive side of one of my parker lights.

The switch will turn my fog lights on and off fine when the parker lights are on meaning the cars auto off and on headlight function will cut the fog lights off and on just like the headlights do as the relay relies on the positive from the parker to power the small side.

When the parkers are on sending positive to the small side of the relay i can turn the switch on and off and the led light in the switch goes off when fogs lights are off and on when they are on like it should but if i turn my parkers off and turn the switch off the led light stays on but if i turn the parkers on the led light turns off while still in the off position???

I am worried there is a short in there but everything works just the led in the switch seems to somehow have power when the parkers are off and no power when the parkers are on unless the switch is turned on for the fog lights.
