Congratulations on a well deserved win for Miles.

What size is the platform in the arena?

The Sydney one will be 1 x 1 metre square, with a pit but no knock-out zone

Adelaide's is 1.2 x 1.2m with two 150 x 150mm pits.

It's really cool to see all the different Ant arenas out there!

I think we originally went with the 1200 size because we could get all 4 walls cut from a single sheet of polycarbonate (1200x600 pieces from a 2400x1200 sheet).

We went with our size for the same reason, haha!

When we first got into ants, I found an old set of UK rules that said the arena must be a minimum of 900x900mm and have one wall removed as a drop off point. I haven't seen any other rules dictating arena size since.

We originally built the arena for the Ribbit Robot parties with low sides for the kids to push the robots out. We built the other one with trap door for the comp. I reckon we go bigger maybe fill the whole boxed area which I think is over 1m squared.
