@Chrisjon : ah yes, but this time the weight increase is being done for international compatibility reasons, not because people are having trouble getting their bots underweight..
As far as the buffer zone goes, I suggest *zero* tolerance for overweight bots.
Everyone has a post-office nearby, and I'll bet their scales will be fairly accurate and calibrated to a standard. To anyone wanting to calibrate their own scales, I suggest grabbing a 20 litre plastic drum from the local aquarium or pub or wherever, fill it up with water until your scales read 13.60Kg, then take the drum down the post office and ask them to weigh it for you. Take the difference and write it on your scales to correct your measurements by.
If we are going to adopt this standard for international competition, then we need to stick to it. As far as I'm concerned, any bots that read over 13.6Kg on our scales at the next robowars can get out the drill, remove some batteries, or disable their spinners and compete in the lightweight class. so make sure you dont break the limit ! _________________ Great minds discuss ideas.
