Beetleweight Brawl NSW - Postponed till 2016

With the interest of some local action, let get dust some beetleweights off!
The arena is located near Seven Hills in western Sydney, PM for specific address.

Specs and ruling: http://sparc.tools/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/SPARC_Robot_Construction_Specifications_v1.0.pdf

Only thing I'm going to override as the EO is no flame weapons. Purely putting this in so we don't end up damaging the polycarbonate.

Need a minimum of 6 robots to kick this off.

Robot Roll Call
1. ZFG - Knightrous
2. Shredder - Valen
3. Corpus Flailossus - Ondray
4.
5.
6.

I have plenty of parts and could put something together right after the Nats event. I'm pretty rusty on the Beetle specs - is there a link somewhere? The main thing I am missing is a tiny receiver; what's a reliable micro receiver from Hobbyking?

If anyone wants to take killer and get it under weight (not hard) to use let me know. Otherwise feel free to buy it cheap!

I have just found this, it's unlikely / near impossible I will have a new beetle built by then, even slapping one together isnt likely, but I will be able to come along regardless and throw screwdrivers at people

I've had to shift the date due to some personal stuff happening on the 7/8th.
Still going ahead if people are keen.

I'm in the process of making a beetle - but without a free day between now and the event it won't be finished Sad but I'll be keen for any future events.

I might come down and check out the event anyway provided I'm not too hungover from finishing uni on the 13th.

Anyone else planning to come?
Unless we can get 6 bots, it's not really worth running an event.

I'm just 1.35Kg away from a completed bot - will also just be a spectator this time.

So my time has freed up a bit, I will endeavor to get my beetle drive-able this weekend - if so I'll be keen to compete.
