Sorry Glen. I havn't had any CAD programs on my home computer for over 6 months so I havn't been using CAD for any of my recent robots. Thats proberbly why Adversary didn't work that well compared to The Aggressor. It deffently didn't look as good.
Any way I added one of the drawings I had been doing at work. Its one of the s/s grates the plumbings guys had me do for a promotional booklet. I'm not sure how long it took me on that drawing, but I did about 64 simalar drawings in about 10 days.
I hate plumbing. Why won't they let me do the GET (Ground Engaging Tools) agian.

That looks good

But what do the guts of it look like. Or is it just a shell drawing at the moment. Wink

Shell drawing?
There's 158 parts in there. But no electronics. I always forgot about that.
Here's a view with some top covers removed.

Nicely done. good to see a cad drawing that can be made as it looks. Cool

how is it going for the weight stakes. have you used the 'mass properties' in solid works, for the calculation.

You do realise that model is a year old and tha version of The Aggressor has fought and been retired. As you can see the check pod was wide enough to take the compressor motor for the weapon, but not quite high enought for an EV Warroir.
Also look at all the 25mm long bits of ali that aloud the thing to flex.

The mass propertire say

quote:
Mass properties of The Aggressor ( Assembly Configuration - Default )

Output coordinate System: -- default --

Mass = 8564.02 grams

Volume = 3670046.93 cubic millimeters

Surface area = 1903596.37 square millimeters

Center of mass: ( millimeters )
X = 186.70
Y = 22.37
Z = 49.39

But the scales said 9kg.

Nice CAD models.
I have just got around to learning a bit of Inventor 5 Final.

Hi Ajax, nice to see another South Aussie here, we're rare on this forum.
