Today was amazing. Two new roboteers who turned up with well made robots that performed well throughout the day.

The Martins were great hosts as always.

Decent event despite being pretty small ish. Arena went up and down quickly bots worked reasonably well considering everyone made it through all 4 fights and to melee. So with some tweaking will be good to see what people have at the next one.

Winner was Phillip with only one loss with Aussie Battler.

Congrats to new guys who made it to their first event.

As I have said several times this will be my last event while I am a local in QLD so I hope someone else can organise and actually hold events in my absence. Thanks for last 12yrs of fun and I am sure I will be around the place.

Steve

Marto also finished with the same win loss ratio as Aussie Battler.

Better late than never... here is pic of Monkeylord 1, the mightiest bot on red-wheels. Learned how to weld for this POS, and got it done in about a day so I'm pretty happy. It was about 7.5kg, so explains why in the vids it tended to bounce off of Mentalbot quite a bit and nearly got eaten by Aussie Battler Razz

Big thanks to Steve and Steve's folks for hosting. Was a really fun and interesting day. Definately looking forward to the next bout (wherever + whenever that will be) so that I have an excuse to trash everything and build Monkeylord 2! Very Happy
