Not bad... but worth it over a $15 rice cooker? I think not. Also have found that if you let the part heat up too much, the smoothing process slows, stops or worse - the surface begins to bubble as the trapped acetone boils away.
EDIT: That said, I wonder what filter medium they found to extract the fumes... I'd be adding that to my system for sure. Just like that full colour acetone printer I was going to make for printing in acrylic powder oh wait that's been done now. http://www.3dsystems.com/materials/visijet-c4-spectrum _________________ ( •_•)
Damn, why so spensive! Can't I just have another one for free
In other news, Jaycar now sell PLA & ABS filament in 1.75mm and 3mm varieties. $39.95 per roll according to my local dealer. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

That's a 55.8% price drop - double awesome! I have to wonder how it possible though - clearing out stock before a new model perhaps? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Is it possible to get the printer to pause for a while after it has done the first few layers of the raft- so they cool - then when it continues it wont bind aswell to the raft and then is easier to remove? _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

There is a "stop @ X Layer" option in the UP Software.
I'm sure it's on the settings area when you begin the print and set your detail and layer thickness’s. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Don't forget you need to enter the 'mm' height not 'layer number'!
Are you using aftermarket filament? Stevo's 12ohm resistor mod works well. _________________ ( •_•)

Hi Angus... yep its the bilby stuff.
I never had much luck wit the Stevo hack…it started giving me errors….it would either say nozzle to hot and stop or nozzle to cold and stop….so Steve suggested to disconnect it….I just been sanding off the raft since then. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts
