I've used the single cell versions nanotech's. They were quite good at the time, but im unsure if theyre any good a year or two later without any maintenance. The tiny plugs were a PITA on those but that's specific to the 1S packaging so not a problem for you application

We use 'm in Hannibalito 4 and Nebelwerfer, no problems whatsoever.

Those are 3S packs tough.

The nanotech is probably more of a marketting issue, as the explanation on the HK site states "by using nano sized strands of metal, the batteries have lower internal resistance".
And lower internal recistance makes a better battery for our purposes.

Concerning "maintenance". Like every LiPo battery, they don't like to be put aside for a longer time completely full or empty. That is why good chargers has a storage charge setting.
The LiFePo4's are less demanding on that respect.

Nanotechs perform well, but seem to have a shorter lifespan than other lipos.

I have mostly used 120mah ones. And they will take 1A charge but regardless of whether you treat them well or badly they always seem to go puffy after about 6-12 months.

Like jaemus have only used the tiny 160mah finger sized cells. I don't get anymore than 20 charges from them even charging at 1c.

When i was shopping for a battery for my 30lber the buzz was that the nanotech lived up to the specs, but had a much shorter life than the G6 thunderpowers and the like, but who knows really when it comes to the opinions of hobbyists vs hobbyking products

Order from the HobbyKing USA Warehouse and it should be relatively fast, since they don't have to use an obscure mail service to ship you the lipols (a lot of mail services are cracking down on shipping lipols)

Doesn't matter, as long your order is from 1 warehouse, Hobbyking will dispatch it.

Of course, that could mean you have to pay import taxes and VAT.

It ain't that bad, that Chinese postal system. Never had a package lost that was send with them. On the other side, it can be slow.
Especialy Deal Extreme can be glacial.
But if you know it, it ain't a problem, otherwise you'll order from another location.

I'm waiting on an order from overseas at the moment....should be hear this week, so 2 to 3 week wait...not so bad

Does hobbyking still use swisspost? My lipos from the international warehouse all got a lovely tour of the world before arriving several weeks later.
