yeah that camera is amazing...
I see jaycar has a 720p gopro clone camera for $120...if the video is good...then that might be the go for onboard robot camera.
I was thinking we could have a camera robot in the arena as a separate robot just for filming...like we did at edge 2. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

You could plug a go pro output into a setup like that.....that would probably look better and you could have onboard recording to. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

Hobbyking now have a huge range of plug and play LED's for pocket change, so now there's no excuse not having a power light in your robot!
t'would be awesome if botbitz sold a featherweight power switch _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Ah yes I did. Was that one out of nylon? _________________ Steven Martin

It was originally made of UMHW, then nylon 6/6 ('cause I had some spare), then finally out of Teflon for extra temperature protection.
UMHW would really be fine as long as the internal parts are sized right and since the metal parts design is very flexible, you can make my switch design fit the bot , rather than make the bot fit the switch shape.
Edit: I really can't see a reason why the switch shell can not be 3D printed; my milled version was designed to be easy to make on a manual mill, but the same concept would be much better and smaller when printed
