Good job on the vids guys C:

Have you tried any external microphones on the gopro yet? I have a few on the way to test out but curious if you've had any luck with getting better sound on the thing.

External mic is on my list of things to test..he he....What I noticed was that inside the arena is kind of sound proofed to the outside(all that poly-carb). So we actually need 2 mics one for outside and one for in....probably just need a couple of lapel mics going to a stereo jack.

Because I went overboard with the camera enclosure(with end caps on the box section)...the go pro kept overheating....I thought maybe people were turning it off when I wasn't there...but it was over heating and tuning off.... as a result we missed some fights.....the camera case foam also made the sound muffed as well ,so external mic will be the way to go for next time.....i'm happy with the way the ants and feathers image came out though....had to zoom in on the beetles...thats why it looks soft.

Lucky on the ant weight day ...i left the endcaps off the enclosure and guess what...no overheating....so im pretty sure we got em all....will soon find out... he he

Yeah they definitely heat up that's for sure, even hanging off a bike, so enclosed up am not surprised Razz

I grabbed a few of these anyway, Apparently you can alter the sound by soldering resistors in line with the mics themselves. For $5 each its worth a try Smile

You had me for most of that one I think, just the oops in the pit or you would have won it. Smile

That fight I was trying to get my head around the really odd mixing I was using on the pistol radio, it couldn't turn on the spot but rather needed throttle and then steering to turn. Originally developed for rc rock crawlers so not real 'tank steering' but I think it helped eliminate twitching and overcompensating on turns. Smile
