It will be a pain transporting it anywhere else before the nats....after the fix up arena day, if we can stack it againts the wall in our shed like last time.... then that is cool with us. _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

Miles and Jules, do you have a place suitable for painting? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

Hi guys
Like the sound of that display!
Painting...if we use a roller /brush ...we could just do it in the shed. Or if we spray i guess we could do it in the back yard.
Yeh potentially. I am nto sure how to do smoke extraction. Just cut a whole in one of the sheets of plastic I guess. Make sure its screwed to the edge.
Other thing which I think would be good is to put a strip with maybe a Robowars stencil on it around the edge. What do you guys reckon? Would hide where the shade cloth is tucked under.
We really should assemble the entire thing with roof in 4x4 configuration too so we could make sure all this stuff is working. Not sure where we could do that though.
We also need to check the floor and paint that too and make sure it is good enough for the event.
@ Andrew working out our expenditure for last financial years is still on my TODO list just bloody hard to find the time.

Do the wall frames need any preparation before painting? Such as angle grinding or wire brushing.
Is Saturday the first of September a firm date? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems
Yeh I am not sure. I am also wondering if it it would be worth taking the arena back to toowoomba if there is somewhere in dads workshop I can leave it setup for a weekend or two. As a lot of this is very hard to do if we can't set it up.

New floor for antweight arena is cut, I collect it on Friday.
Will start on the pit mechanism shortly after. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Good stuff, Aaron. Is there a steel wall around the floor to stop spinners embedding in the polycarbonate?
Is there a decision as to where the arena repair day will be held? What is the start time? I would prefer an early start and an early finish. _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I could ask a mate at our old shed complex.... to see if we could set up there for the day ,that way we could do it in 4 panel mode? Steve...Or are you planing to tack it to toowoomba to your dads shed to do the fixes? _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

So the current plan is to take arena back to my place and set it up in the back yard.
The two main things I would like to get done on saturday is to fix up the shade cloth so that it looks reasonable and to check the floor.
I have also just picked up my fan. But the duct isnt too long so might need to do something about that but its a start. _________________ Steven Martin
