Nick, are you cool to take up Catastrophe and Hammerhead for me?

did you guys want to perhaps have a mini event/trial day at my place before heading up... I only have the beetle arena, we could always go to Jeffs
YES i would very much like to do some feather testing in early-mid September, can we work out a date and get in touch with Jeff please?
Saturday 22nd i already had blocked out in my calendar as being a possible local event date. So this would work for me
also the preceeding weekend (Sat 15th) _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

If you do do a day testing any chance you would tolerate a Canberran (me) crashing the event? It is not far afterall on the off chance I will have something to test. _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.

Feel very free to come up and participate! We always like visitors and test events are no-pressure relaxed events.

if you need a place to crash lemme know
As far as queensland goes
Travel is simple (either u drive or get in a place)
What are peoples thoughts as far as accomadation
Was thinking if we can find a place big enough split the cost but we need to look into this now as its a long weekend so places will either jack the prices up close to or be booked out _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

Anyone is welcome to bunk at our joint. So thats a yes Angus.
The best way to get to our joint from the airport is on the train....it will cost ya about $20 from memory..... get the air port train to central station then get on the glorious ipswich line.... get off at Booval train station...and we can pick ya up _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

@ Andrew: apartments seem the best accommodation, many of the hotels are already booked out.

I'm locked into driving up - seems like I should be adding armour to the van rather than to the robot

How are other builders doing with accommodation? I found that Ipswitch is hosting some netball championship and almost everything is already booked out. The nearby places with a few spare rooms are over-price dumps and I'm looking at places up to 25 minutes away.
