Nick, are you cool to take up Catastrophe and Hammerhead for me?

did you guys want to perhaps have a mini event/trial day at my place before heading up... I only have the beetle arena, we could always go to Jeffs

YES i would very much like to do some feather testing in early-mid September, can we work out a date and get in touch with Jeff please?

Saturday 22nd i already had blocked out in my calendar as being a possible local event date. So this would work for me
also the preceeding weekend (Sat 15th)

If you do do a day testing any chance you would tolerate a Canberran (me) crashing the event? It is not far afterall on the off chance I will have something to test.

Feel very free to come up and participate! We always like visitors and test events are no-pressure relaxed events.

if you need a place to crash lemme know

As far as queensland goes

Travel is simple (either u drive or get in a place)

What are peoples thoughts as far as accomadation

Was thinking if we can find a place big enough split the cost but we need to look into this now as its a long weekend so places will either jack the prices up close to or be booked out

Central Motel Ipswich seems to have reasonable prices

Probably pays to get in early and book though.

Anyone is welcome to bunk at our joint. So thats a yes Angus.

The best way to get to our joint from the airport is on the train....it will cost ya about $20 from memory..... get the air port train to central station then get on the glorious ipswich line.... get off at Booval train station...and we can pick ya up Very Happy

@ Andrew: apartments seem the best accommodation, many of the hotels are already booked out.

I'm locked into driving up - seems like I should be adding armour to the van rather than to the robot Laughing

How are other builders doing with accommodation? I found that Ipswitch is hosting some netball championship and almost everything is already booked out. The nearby places with a few spare rooms are over-price dumps and I'm looking at places up to 25 minutes away.

Seriously the world hates me. Who has netball champs in Ipswich on the same weekend....

Wonder if this is still available, its literally 150m from the gallery. And looks reasonable.
