Still have to cut the slots in the arm for the sprockets and finish welding the teeth in place. For now they're all tac'd in place as I was running low on argon for the welder. When done it'll be powered by a 775 size motor geared down to a tooth speed of approximately 20ft/s.

Teeth are 4130 steel that I've torch hardened.

775 should be fine on power, to keep it legal for one of the events I want to take the weapon to I've got to keep the teeth moving at 20ft/s or less, so it's got tons of torque at 24v.

Spanky is wired up and running. Weight is just a hair over 22lbs as pictured, leaving almost 8lbs for weapon configurations. The spike wedges are 1lb 3.4oz and will be used primarily with the axe and hammer weapons. I'm intending to armor up the chainsaw and circular saw attachments as heavily as the weight budget allows me.

I'll get an internal shot soon, though there's not a ton to see. Those are the only chains, it's going from an 18v dewalt in low to the wheels via a 1.25:1 reduction. Using 3 BR-XL speed controllers, 1 2650mAh 6s Lipo, r610 OrangeRx and a Whyachi MS-05 on the bot.

That's what I like to see - virtually zero air space! You should post some details on how you get that great paint job so neat; it looks like a vinyl stencil to me. When I put logos on my bot, I have to print them on clear adhesive film, which is expensive and not particularly durable.

Rattle cans, masking tape and a sharp blade. That's it. Same for the spiral on Nyx.

Process is normally to spray the base coat, let it dry, cover the whole thing in masking tape, sketch the design, cut along the lines, peel up the next color, spray, let dry, repeat as needed.

Looking good! You definitely have to get that axe attachment made ASAP.

Thats super well done, nice! Hold onto those dewalts with the support kits, they're rare as now

One thing i always wanted to try with a robot like that was have the big hammer tube with a solid weight inside on a spring, so when the robot spun up the weight would move to the end of the tube for more energy.

With the welds but, theres heaps of undercutting in there, might need to pile some more filler in for the future! (or wire speed up a tad for mig)

It's a bit of that, a bit gearing it down another 1.25:1 from low gear to get more torque to get a bit more energy into the swing.
