Well I dont know who is left.

I am trying to get a set of rules of nailed down to put up on robowars2012.com.au.

So few points.

- Round Robin
- Autonomous 200% weight bonus
- Walker 200% weight bonus
- Shuffler 200% weight bonus with approval (No shuffler for the sake of weight bonus Son of Wyachi style)
- No Magnets
- If we get > 16 robots in any class will probably run multiple pools.

- No Flamethrowers
- Featherweights with Lipo batteries will require prior approval of battery mounting and armourment.
(These two are due to us being indoors.)

By then I could be anything (other then Tasmanian )

Also weight bonus for auton, Why do you tempt me so Steve?
Will access be available to the tracking system you have been developing (overhead skype one) for your robot (I do not want or expect competitors to stick the marker on their bot)?

I will pester you on MSN back when I am in SA with decent internet in a week or so if you are still thinking of giving the bonus to discus all the requirements.
(Thinking wedge/lifter, autonomous ant, titanium armour bit like phillips. )

If anyone is willing to do some work on the website let me know. Using simple online CMS will add any willing participants as editors.

So the robot can not have any input other than a start/stop command from the user. Processing can be onboard or offboard, you may also install 1 or 2 of your own tracking cameras around the arena.

I would not recommend featherweight autonomous robots. But I am pretty keen to see some ant ones. Given that I have a POC almost working, for markered bots. It wouldnt be too hard to have your robot with a marker then just like do background subtraction to find your opponent.

Autonomous will be expected to fight non autonomous but with 200% weight bonus and offboard comms then I think this is a significant advantage.

Sorry, Should have made it clearer. Safety rule wise for now with initial ideas/designs do RFL rules on autonomous cover things? Ie going from memory as my internet atm sucks must be turned on and off by something (eg hobby radio) light for each autonomous system, ....

Yeh so my assumption is that you would be using a standard RC interface to control the robot if processing is offboard. So a switch to turn this off would be sufficient (same as turning off TX) if you have onboard processing then must be triggered by a RC and also have an additional light to indicate when Autonomy was activated inactivated.

@ Jake yeh I am thinking mostly ants as I dont really know about setting up stuff for beetles/feathers. You can make one but you would still need to attend to set up any external stuff and make it work.

I've set up and paid for the registration page. It just take a long time for the guy at the other end to hit to launch button.
